Personal Narration On The Effects Of Disregarding Our Parents (Essay Sample) Content: The effects of disregarding our parentsThere are things that happen to our lives that are not good at all. Some of the bad things that happen to us are our own making and disregard to our parents is the main cause. In our family we have been raised as God fearing children. My father is religious person and has many followers who believe in his teachings. In religious meetings, he is used to criticizing immorality, theft people of small little faith and most of all hypocrisy in the church. My mother is a staunch believer who does not allow her children to misbehave in religious meetings or in presence of visitors. She is used to imparting discipline in a harsh manner, whenever she notices some bad behavior.My parents were ever strict ion me however had an insatiable hunger for freedom and leading my life the way I pleased. Doing my own things without supervision .I used to admire clubbing and parting at night or any time that I pleased .my parents were always strict, hindering all my activities including going for shopping. They had strong belief that I could not make any serious decision on my own. They did that as way of protecting me from getting lost in my youth. My younger brothers and sisters were also treated the same way.I had now grown up as a college student and was to live on my own. The school was very far from home and there was no one to take of me. In my first year I was a cool kid trying to learn the new school and new people. Adapting with my roommate was the most difficult thing in my life. He was a drunkard and drug dealer at the same time. He had become addict at a tender age. He used to earn a lot of money by selling drugs. He would buy expensive and fancy clothes. He also ate well. My father had money and provided all my basic need because we were rich but he could not give a lot of money for luxury. He gave what was enough for me.In my second year of study I had learnt and adopted school life. Having the freedom I had desi red, curiosity about life began wanted to explore and do whatever I had been forbidden for a long time. My roommate became my close friend. I started using drugs and selling them. I started to distribute them to friends until I could sell more than my roommate. I could earn double of his sales after a period of three months. Sooner than later, I became famous in the school as the renowned distributer of drugs. I also became a bully due to pride of money.At home, they all wondered why I was not always asking for money for my needs. However, I could act pretentious and ask for money though I had more than enough. Due to usage of drugs and being too alcoholic, my health started to deteriorate. With everything, I had wished to be healthy but my body became worn and torn. I usually had severe chest pains and I could cough consecutively until I would feel as though my chest was coming out. I went to several hospital for medical attention. The doctor did ask me to stop taking drugs as it w as the cause of all these. When I went home my father would fast and pray for me to do away with my addiction. My health would only improve when I was at home since I could not take drugs often.After a while I ...
